What is Delta-8 THC? This all-new, world-class cannabinoid comes with a psychotropic high that’s completely legal. You’ve never had a high this extreme before. Delta-8 is a derivative of its more famous cousin, Delta-9 THC, though it’s only found in trace amounts in the cannabis plant. Now, we’ve isolated and extracted it, creating our most extreme products ever. You’ll experience a powerful, extreme but enjoyable psychotropic high, not unlike THC. It falls into a regulatory grey area, so until the government decides to ban it, it’s totally legal (for now). So grab some before it’s too late!

Common Questions

What is Delta-8 THC?

Delta-8 is a derivative of and a close cousin to Delta-9 THC. Like its more famous cousin, Delta-9 will give you a legal, psychotropic high, although it will be much subtler and smoother.

What is the difference between Delta 8 and Delta 10 THC

Both Delta-8 and Delta-10 THC are hemp-derived cannabinoids with a buzz. Their buzzy effects are different, however. With Delta-8 THC, chances are you’ll feel a smooth and subtle high that’s relaxing and uplifting. The high will have you feeling a bit hungry and maybe even a little sleepy. On the other hand, Delta-10 is known for its sativa-like high. It’s energizing, keeps you focused, and helps your creative juices flow. Both Delta-8 and Delta-10 are available in many different forms, including edibles and vapes.

What are the effects of Delta-8 THC?

While the FDA prevents us from making any claims as to the effects of Delta-8 THC, we can say that many users have had highly positive experiences with this cannabinoid, with reports stating that they have used it for sleep, appetite, mood, and more.

Why combine Delta-8 with CBD?

At Diamond CBD, we combine Delta-8 with our high-quality, hemp-derived CBD Isolate to give you the best of both worlds. CBD helps to balance out the Delta-8, as CBD is known to moderate any high caused Delta-8. It will help keep things smooth, subtle, and grounded.

What are the relevant parts of the Farm Bill to CBD and Delta-8 THC?

The Farm Bill, or Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018, legalized hemp. Here’s the relevant passage:

SEC. 297A. DEFINITIONS.

(1) HEMP.—The term ‘hemp’ means the plant Cannabis sativa L. and any part of that plant, including the seeds thereof and all derivatives, extracts, cannabinoids, isomers, acids, salts, and salts of isomers, whether growing or not, with a delta9 tetrahydrocannabinol concentration of not more than 0.3 percent on a dry weight basis.

SEC. 12619. CONFORMING CHANGES TO CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES ACT.

(a) IN GENERAL.—Section 102(16) of the Controlled Substances Act (21 U.S.C. 802(16)) is amended—

(1) by striking ‘‘(16) The’’ and inserting ‘‘(16)(A) Subject to subparagraph (B), the’’; and

(2) by striking ‘‘Such term does not include the’’ and inserting the following:

‘‘(B) The term ‘marihuana does not include—

‘‘(i) hemp, as defined in section 297A of the Agricultural Marketing Act of 1946; or

‘‘(ii) the’’. (b) TETRAHYDROCANNABINOL.—Schedule I, as set forth in section 202(c) of the Controlled Substances Act (21 U.S.C. 812(c)), is amended in subsection

(c)(17) by inserting after ‘‘Tetrahydrocannabinols’’ the following: ‘‘, except for tetrahydrocannabinols in hemp (as defined under section 297A of the Agricultural Marketing Act of 1946)’’.

What is the current state of the data on Delta-8 THC?

Right now, there is not much data, nor are there many studies as to the potential or possibilities of Delta-8 THC. We know it is safe, and we have many reports on its psychotropic properties. However, very few clinical trials or peer-reviewed studies have yet to be completed. However, as the product becomes more popular, more research will occur.

What about Delta-8 THC metabolites?

There have been very few studies on Delta-8 THC metabolites. In fact, the only one we know of was performed on mice. The cannabinoid is believed to have similar metabolites to Delta-8 except for the double bond, which is changed when applicable. Many believe the metabolites of Delta-8 THC are more potent than Delta-9.

Can you build up a tolerance to Delta-8 THC?

There have been no known studies documenting tolerance to the cannabinoid Delta-8 THC. However, various user reports show that it is much the same as its cousin Delta-9 THC. In other words, tolerance can build from the overuse of the product. As with anything, moderation is always best. We also recommend small or brief breaks from the product to keep your tolerance in check.

How long do the effects of Delta-8 THC last?

Delta-8 effects genuinely depend on the individual and the product used (vape, tincture, edible, etc.). In general, vapes and oils can last anywhere from 1-5 hours, while edibles, which take a little longer to come on full, can last up to 12 hours.

How long does it take Delta-8 THC effects to start to work?

Most user reports state that Delta-8 THC begins working with a bit of a delayed effect, especially as compared to Delta-9 THC. Users report that vapes take about 20 minutes, oils and tinctures a bit longer, and edibles anywhere from 1 - 4 hours.

What’s so essential about Delta-8 THC?

Delta-8 is a great discovery and is quite important because it serves as a functional substitute for Delta-9 THC. Plus, it’s legal.

Unlike its cousin Delta 9 THC, which can cause sleep issues, paranoia, anxiety, and more, Delta 8 THC is a smooth and subtle cannabinoid with no known side effects. It’s an important addition to the library of cannabinoids that may benefit many users.

Will any of Diamond CBD’s products get me high?

Today, we can honestly say it depends. If you choose all-natural, hemp-derived CBD, then the answer is no. However, if you prefer something like Delta-8 THC, which is a legal derivative of its cousin Delta-9 THC, then the answer is yes. Delta-8 offers users a smooth and subtle buzz that keeps your head clear without any anxiety. And the best part is, it’s completely legal!

Is Delta-8 the same as THC?

Delta-8 is a derivative of and a close cousin to Delta-9 THC. Like its more famous cousin, Delta-9 will give you a psychotropic high, although it will be much more subtle and smooth. Unlike THC, hemp-derived Delta-8 is completely legal across the United States.
