Diamond CBD Sponsored Blazer's Cup Was a Huge Success!
Diamond CBD, proud makers of Tommy's Chong’s Choice line of CBD products was the major sponsor and presenter at the Blazers Cup, a two-day extravaganza that included a lifestyle expo, live entertainment and, of course, the main event: a contest for the best of the best flower, edibles, concentrates, topicals, glass, etc.
The huge buzz created by the contest brought in loads of entries in all categories. The crowds were some of the biggest ever to attend such a cannabis event. And the musical entertainment was a festival in its own right.
Almost 40 years after pot-themed comedy movie stars Cheech and Chong launched their legendary career, both are now well-known and successful entrepreneurs in the cannabis industry, each with their own line of boutique cannabis products and dispensaries. Cheech even has a library named after him in Riverside, Cali.
“This is the first annual Blazers Cup, as well as my very first entry into the world of legal weed events,” Chong told PotPlus in an interview. “I’m really, really enjoying it. I love anything where a bunch of people get together and talk and smoke and just celebrate the burning bush. That’s what cannabis is all about.”
The event was graced with musical performances by the Game, B-Real of Cypress Hill, Riff Raff, and Berner. There was also a special area set up where attendees with a medical card could light up their stuff that, well, may not have been limited to just CBD.
Tommy plans to not only host a Blazer’s cup in So. Cal. every year, but is planning to launch Blazer’s Cup events all over the world.
“I want to eventually do Blazers Cups everywhere cannabis is legal in the world,” Chong told PotPlus. “I want these gatherings to bring millions of people together to enjoy the burning bush.”
In this day and age where everyone carries a video studio in their pocket, there’s no need for us to tell you what a cool event this was. Here are some videos made by folks who attended the event which will give you a bull’s eye view of what went on at the event. If a picture is worth a thousand words, a video is worth a million.
